Gladstone man ‘held at gunpoint’ in own home as 2 suspects steal items, truck, neighbor says

GLADSTONE Ore. (KPTV) - Two suspects invaded a Gladstone house, held the homeowner hostage, then stole items and the victim’s pickup truck on Wednesday night, according to the Gladstone Police Department.

Police say the incident began on Winfield Court just before 10 p.m., when the victim, a man, was taken hostage for about 90 minutes before the suspects left. He was not hurt and there were no other people at the house during that time.

A neighbor called 911 after the victim came to their house for help, they said.

“The neighbor said that he’d been held at gunpoint by two robbers,” the victim’s neighbor said. “My neighbor came to my door, rang the bell. He was very distraught and said … asked me to call 911. While one person held a gun on him, the other person ransacked the house, stole a lot of his possessions and loaded it into his pick-up truck, and then drove away.”

Police do not have a description of the suspects. The stolen truck is a green, single-cab 2013 Toyota Tacoma, Oregon license plate 420 GBW.

Anyone with information about the incident or truck is asked to contact Gladstone police.
