Portland strip club site being developed for Chick-fil-A

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A new Chick-fil-A restaurant may be coming to the site of a current strip club in Portland’s Hazelwood neighborhood.

The proposed Chick-fil-A would be the first inside Portland city limits.

The 0.85-acre site at 9950 SE Stark is currently occupied by The Venue Gentlemen’s Club. Which was built in 1984, according to city planning records. The permit description says the current building would be demolished and a new building housing Chick-fil-A would be put in its place.

The proposed restaurant would be 4,991 sq. foot restaurant with 98 indoor seats and 12 patio seats.

Earlier this month, Portland police said a man was killed in a shooting outside the club.

Police said Morieo Camel-Harris, 35, of Portland, died at the scene on April 1. Another person was injured in the shooting and taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their current condition is not known.
