Hillsboro doorbell camera captures kidnapping, man arrested
HILLSBORO Ore. (KPTV) - A man was arrested after a doorbell camera in Hillsboro captured video of a woman being kidnapped.
Early Monday morning, Hillsboro police got a report of a kidnapping caught on a community member’s doorbell camera.
A team of investigators was formed and requested help from the community to identify the suspect and victim from the video circulating social media.
Early Tuesday morning, the suspect and victim were identified. The suspect was arrested and the victim is safe, the Hillsboro Police Department said.
According to HPD, the victim and suspect knew each other and this attack was not random, The suspect was charged with kidnapping.
HPD is not releasing the identity of the suspect or victim at this time and would like to thank community members who contacted them to give tips and leads.
