PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Let’s get the bad weather news out of the way: it’s unlikely to be snowy on Christmas. But after today, we should at least get a break from the rain!

If you haven’t been following the trial of Geoffrey Hammond, let me catch you up. Last October, Hammond (a.k.a. Jeffrey Mandalis) was arrested following a road rage shooting outside the Moxy Hotel in Portland. One man died at the scene; another recovered after being shot in the legs.

Last night, the jury deliberating the case reached a verdict on some charges, but a mistrial was declared for the murder charges. It’s now up to the state whether or not he’ll be tried again.

Police in Albany are hoping to speak to any additional victims of a former high school teacher and wresting coach accused of over ten counts of sexual misconduct.

A man in Sherwood was arrested after his partner was found dead outside their home.

Going on a trip soon? Better tune into this morning’s winter travel preps presser – we’ll have a reporter on scene.

In case you missed it: inclusive group exercise nonprofit Every Body Athletics, which helps disabled adults, opened its new facility across from the Washington Square Mall.

Monday, We heard from local delivery services that are working around the clock to help deliver packages in time for the holidays.

Speaking of: while some parents are threatening to cancel Christmas entirely, we know some kids who are definitely not on the naughty list.

Finally, a riveting mystery out of Bend: who has been putting googly eyes on the city’s art?
