Brush fire along I-84 near The Dalles now in mop-up, sheriff says

WASCO COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) - A brush fire along Interstate 84 east of The Dalles impacted highway traffic on Friday, according to the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office.

Just after noon, the sheriff’s office posted on social media that a fire near milepost 92 - seven miles east of The Dalles - was slowing traffic and asked drivers to be careful while driving through the area.

According to ODOT, eastbound lanes were being slowed by the fire response.

By about 2 p.m., the sheriff’s office said the fire was in mop-up. However, ODOT was still showing substantial delays due to the slowdown.
