Driver arrested for DUII, manslaughter after motorcyclist killed in Linn County crash

LINN COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) - An impaired driver was arrested Saturday night following a deadly crash in Linn County, according to Oregon State Police.

The crash happened just after 10 p.m. on June 13, on Highway 164 near milepost 7. OSP said an investigation showed a green Dodge Ram was westbound on the highway when it collided with a red Honda motorcycle going southbound.

The motorcyclist, 41-year-old Christopher Adam Brown, of Albany, died at the scene.

The driver of the Dodge, 47-year-old Jason Richard Jones, of Albany, was not hurt. OSP said Jones was arrested and booked into the Linn County Jail for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, driving while suspended, and second-degree manslaughter.

The investigation is ongoing, and no other details were released by OSP.
