Highway 101 reopens near Seaside after serious crash

SEASIDE, Ore. (KPTV) - A serious injury crash shut down Highway 101 near Seaside for several hours on Monday.

Cannon Beach Fire says emergency crews have responded to a multi-vehicle, head-on crash on Highway 101, just north of the Highway 26 junction. Serious injuries were reported but it’s not known at this time how many people were hurt.

Highway 101 was closed at milepost 24. The Oregon Department of Transportation says highway reopened just after 12 p.m.

Traffic on Highway 101 was backed up for miles due to the closure.

No other details have been released at this time.
