ALOHA, Ore. (KPTV) - The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says a driver who crashed into a parked monster truck in Aloha was arrested on charges including DUII.

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue responded to a reported crash between two cars along SW Blanton Street just after 4 p.m. on Saturday.

When firefighters arrived, they found a car on its side that had crashed into an unoccupied monster truck on a trailer. The driver was reportedly able to free themselves from the overturned car.

No one was injured as a result of the crash.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the monster truck was parked when the suspected drunk driver crashed into it.

The owner of the monster truck, Derek Barnum, told FOX 12 that the truck was significantly damaged, and the crash sounded like a rocket ship when he heard it from inside his home.

Barnum says he ran outside to see if the driver was alright before calling 911.

According to the sheriff’s office, the driver was arrested on charges of DUII-alcohol, reckless driving and second-degree criminal mischief.

The name of the driver has not yet been released.
