4 hurt in two-alarm apartment fire in Beaverton

Four people were hurt in a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex in Beaverton early Friday morning.

BEAVERTON, Ore. (KPTV) - Four people were hurt in a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex in Beaverton early Friday morning.

Just after 6:30 a.m., crews with Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue responded to a fire at 5820 Southwest Erickson Avenue. Firefighters arrived to the complex and found heavy smoke and flames coming from a first-floor unit.

The fire was upgraded to a second alarm to bring in more resources.

Two people were rescued from a second floor balcony by firefighters, according to TVF&R.

TVF&R told FOX 12 that at least four people were hurt in the fire; One with serious injuries and three with minor injuries. All four were taken to an area hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
