Corvallis woman accused of stealing from disabled clients while working as mental health provider
CORVALLIS Ore. (KPTV) - A Corvallis woman was arrested for theft and criminal mistreatment on Wednesday after allegedly stealing from two disabled clients, police said.
According to the Corvallis Police Department, 53-year-old Stacy Tindall had worked for the Benton County Health Department’s Assertive Community Treatment program as a Qualified Mental Health Provider.
Over six months in 2025, Tindall is accused of stealing government-issued gift cards meant for her disabled clients to buy food and other supplies. Police said the value taken from the two clients was at least $2,400.
Police said she also failed to return electronic devices assigned to her by the county for her job.
On Wednesday, detectives searched Tindall’s home on Southwest Kendra Street and arrested her on the following charges:
- Three counts of first-degree theft
- Two counts of first-degree criminal mistreatment
- Fraudulent use of a credit card
Police said she is facing criminal mistreatment charges because the victims were disabled and Tindall had been entrusted with their care.
Detectives are continuing to investigate, and anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Detective Dunn at the Corvallis Police Department.
